Students who have
been admitted to a Teacher Education
Program at other institutions may be
considered for admission to the Lee
University Teacher Education Program by
transfer through the following
procedure:

1The Student must
present verification of admission
into the Teacher Education Program
at the other institution. (This
includes, but may not be limited to,
a letter from the appropriate
office, copies of recommendations,
evaluations, and test scores.)

The student must
have a minimum GPA requirement of
2.5 in each of the following areas:
-
Specialty Area
-
Professional
Courses
-
Overall
-
The student must
have the following minimum Praxis I
scores:
-
Pencil and Paper
Test
-
Reading 174
-
Writing 173
-
Mathematics 173
-
Students can be
exempted from taking Praxis I with
the following scores:
-
Enhanced ACT 22
Recentered SAT 1020

Portfolio: Submit
portfolio to secretary of TEP when
all of the requirements for
admission have been met.
A committee consisting
of the Director of Teacher Education,
(Dean), the Director of Field
Experiences, and the student’s Lee
University advisor will review the
materials presented and determine if the
student meets requirements equivalent to
those of Lee’s Teacher Education
Program. Additional documentation may be
requested. With this committee’s
recommendations, the student will be
presented to the Teacher Education
Committee for approval of transfer into
Lee’s Teacher Education Program.
One semester of
probationary status may be required. |
